Internet2 TIES is the first organization to bring the experience of Internet2 to Minnesota’s K-12 schools. Through TIES' partnership with Northern Lights, an advanced regional networking initiative run by the University of Minnesota, school districts across Minnesota are hooking up to an amazing range of exciting educational opportunities through Internet2.
Internet2 – the next generation of the Internet – is an ultra-high-speed network being developed by a nonprofit consortium of universities, industry and government. With Internet2, schools have access to a new realm of clear, virtual digital experiences, allowing them to expand beyond their boundaries into the world of the future.
