Membership
The power of collaboration
A single school district can seldom accomplish what a group of districts can do together. Sharing technology products and services increases quality, decreases price and optimizes potential.
Membership benefits
Full membership in TIES helps districts save money and meet their needs for effective education technology with:
- Data-driven decision-making tools
- Student information, finance, and human resources and payroll applications
- Records management
- Unlimited professional staff development training
- Teacher web pages
- ISP services, technical consulting, and hardware and software group purchasing
- Transportation routing and management
- Data mapping
- Use of TIES meeting facilities
Members enjoy significant savings through discounts on all TIES products and services, as well as through not having to invest scarce dollars in application servers or extra technical staff.
Ownership
As owners of TIES, member districts have a voice in what TIES does and how it does it. Each member district selects two representatives to serve on the TIES Governing Board. District representatives also make up the nine-member Executive Committee, which implements and administers the policies of the Governing Board.
TIES member districts participate directly and critically in designing all TIES systems, from taking part in focus groups to identify and refine functions, to piloting new systems and features. Member district representatives also serve on advisory and special interest groups focused on payroll, finance and other areas to provide ongoing input and foster productive dialogue. This collaboration ensures that TIES applications continue to meet the needs of their users.
